Nefarian

Nefarian is the Lord of Blackrock, and the final boss encounter in the Blackwing Lair raid. The fight is characterized by a first phase where adds spawn quickly from two tunnels and require the raid to split in half to handle them. There are 6 different potential types of Drakonid adds who have different abilities. Only two of the 6 potential Drakonids will be selected for the week. The second phase involves fighting Nefarian himself in Dragon form, when he will perform "Class Calls" that effect players of that class and do something unique to the raid. The third phase summons a slew of Bone Constructs which need to be handled, and puts Nefarian into an Enraged mode. The boss uses the Shadow Flame ability, and mandates that all players in the raid are wearing their Onyxia Scale Cloaks. Begin the fight by speaking with Lord Victor Nefarius, who is posited at the Throne at the opposite end of the platform from where the raid entered.
Overview
Tank
In Phase 1, all tanks should be assigned to one of the two tunnels from which Drakonid adds are going to spawn. Pick up the adds as they spawn and allow your DPS to burn them down. At the beginning of Phase 2, the Main Tank needs to quickly be positioned in the tank spot for Nefarian, as he will quickly land and engage in combat. Begin building threat. The Rogue Class Call will teleport the Rogues in your raid to a location near Nefarian. Reposition the boss to ensure that the Rogues are not killed by [Cleave]. During the Warrior Class call, all Warriors will be forced into [Berserker Stance]. The tank on Nefarian will take additional damage during this time. At Phase 3, Off-tanks need to pick up all of the Construct Adds using [Challenging Shout] and [Shield Wall], and try to keep them from killing your healers and DPS. They should die relatively quickly.
Damage Dealers
The top priority for defeating adds in the first phase are Bronze and Red Drakonids. Blue Drakonids are resistant to Frost damage, while Red Drakonids are resistant to Fire damage. Bronze Drakonids are Resistant to Arcane damage. Green Drakonids are resistant to Nature damage. In Phase 2, allow your tanks to establish threat before beginning DPS. Stand at maximum range to avoid being hit by [Bellowing Roar], which has a 35 yard range. In Phase 2, Druids and Mages need to prioritize decursing [Veil of Shadow] from the tank. During the Druid Class Call, it is safest to step back and wait for the forced Cat Form debuff to fall off. Hunters need to bring additional ranged weapons, as the Hunter Class Call will break your equipped weapon. During the Shaman Class Call, Corrupted Totems will spawn. All DPS need to switch to these targets immediately. During the Warlock Class Call, all DPS should quickly kill the summoned Corrupted Infernals - they are immune to Fire damage. When summoned, the Infernals will crash into the ground wherever the Warlocks are standing. Warlocks needs to stack up away from the rest of the Ranged DPS and Healers to avoid these groups taking damage and being stunned. During the Paladin Class call, all DPS should hold off, as the Main Tank will not be able to generate any threat during this time. During Phase 3, all DPS should group up the Bone Constructs and use any AoE effects to bring them down.
Healers
In Phase 1, Healers should be evenly distributed between the two tunnels that adds are coming in from. At the start of Phase 2, when Nefarian lands, Healers assigned to the Main Tank need to quickly move to the area where the Main Tank will be positioning the boss, as they will start taking damage as soon as Nefarian lands. During the Mage Class Call, Paladins and Priests need to dispel any players affected by [Wild Polymorph]. During the Priest Class call, it is essential to STOP HEALING, as the [Corrupted Healing] spell will instead damage the target you are trying to Heal. You can still use [Power Word: Shield] and [Renew] but that's it. During the Warrior Class call, all Warriors will be forced into Berserker Stance and take additional damage. Your Main Tank is most likely a Warrior, so they will require additional healing. During Phase 3, Bone Constructs are summoned. Be careful not to get any threat on them, as they hit fairly hard.
